My name is Pete Liebig and I am a resident of Lakeside, CA. My wife Wanda and I have been married for 44 years and have enjoyed raising and watching our wonderful family grow. We have a daughter, two sons, four fantastic grandsons and one little dog.
I am a retired San Diego County firefighter by trade and found my love for photography by chance. My fascination with photography began back in 1968 while serving in Vietnam. It was during my time there when I bought my first camera with a 200 mm lens.
Long since my time in Vietnam, I’ve had many unique opportunities that I’ve been able to capture on film. My hobbies include fly fishing and skiing, which have provided me with spectacular wildlife and outdoor scenes. My wife and I spent several weeks photographing in Europe and, in spite of the beautiful scenery, found the international car show in Geneva to be the highlight of the trip.
I am the official photographer at Barona Speedway and Barona 1/8 mile Drag Strip. Over the years I have been invited to many other tracks in Southern California to photograph special events. My pictures have been published in several magazines and featured in national ads.
During the summer you can usually find me at one of the car shows throughout the county in El Cajon, La Mesa or Santee. My passion is car and motorcycle photography and I enjoy sharing my work with fellow car enthusiasts.
